Here's where things stand.
I've been building Third Chapter the only way I currently can — in the margins. Early mornings, late nights, weekends. I'm still working a full-time job that runs 50 to 60 hours a week, and I'm trying to build something I believe in on top of it. It's not glamorous. Some weeks it's just keeping the ball moving an inch. But it's moving.
That's what building in public actually looks like most of the time. Not a highlight reel — just consistent, unglamorous forward progress toward something worth building.
I'm not complaining. I knew what this would take when I started. I'm telling you because you're on this list, which means you showed interest at some point, and I think you deserve to know the real story — not a polished version of it.
Founding Memberships Are Open
This is the most important thing I can ask you to do right now.
I need to prove to investors that this community wants Third Chapter to exist before I ask them to write a check. The way I prove that: 200 people who believed early enough to put something behind it.
Founding Memberships start at $200 and go up to $2,500. This isn't a donation, and it's not a loyalty card — it's early backing with real benefits attached, and your name in the origin story of something that doesn't exist yet but will.
The tiers:
Founding Friend — $200 — Name on the Founding Members page, 10% off during our first year, exclusive founding-year merch
Founding Patron — $500 — Everything above, plus a limited-edition membership card, a birthday drink on us, and a voice in shaping our menu, events, and book selection
Founding Visionary — $1,000 — Everything above, plus premium co-working access, first priority for workshops and events, recognition in opening-day press, and a signed commemorative poster
Founding Sponsor — $2,500 (limited to 25) — Everything above, plus a named in-store bookcase, a permanent story plaque, a private Sponsor dinner, first-priority event space booking, and direct founder access through Office Hours
These close when we lock in our permanent location. That's not a manufactured deadline — it's just how this works.
One More Ask — Takes 2 Minutes
I'm building the programming, space, and membership structure around what this community actually needs — not what I think it needs. That means I need real data.
I put together a short survey. Eight questions. Covers how often you'd visit, what you'd come for, what you'd spend, and what would stop you from coming back. No fluff.
If you fill it out, you're directly shaping what Third Chapter becomes.
That's the update. No big announcements, no milestone to celebrate — just heads-down work and two things that actually move this forward if you're willing to help.
Thank you for being here this early. It means more than you know.
