I got a notification on my phone earlier this week.
Someone had just become the first Founding Friend of Third Chapter.
I read what they wrote me and I cried.
Not because of the money. Because of what the act of it meant. Someone looked at a place that doesn't exist yet, still just a website and a lot of early mornings, and said: I believe in this enough to put something behind it.
Third Chapter has never been about me. I've understood that for a while. But that notification made it land differently. This is for the community. For the people who want somewhere to slow down and actually connect with each other. I'm just the person who gets to build it, and I'm genuinely honored by that.
This week also: two investor conversations in the pipeline, social gaining ground, and more messages from people saying Boise needs something like this. Everything is moving.

Every new member changes what I'm able to say in investor meetings, to potential partners, to the people deciding whether Third Chapter is worth betting on.
The founding membership page is still open. But that's not the ask this week.

I want to build Third Chapter around what this community actually needs, not what I assume it needs.
I put together a survey. Eight questions. How often you'd visit, what you'd come for, what you'd spend, and what would make you stop coming back. No fluff.
Your answers go directly into the decisions I'm making about the space, the programming, the membership structure, and the events.
