Hey friends,

Spent most of this week on the phone and in inboxes, real estate agents, lawyers, vendors, the people who don't show up in a newsletter until months later when something actually closes. No conversations happened yet. Just calls and emails out, waiting.

Here's where it's heading. Two investor meetings are locked on the calendar for this week. After a quiet stretch with nothing on the books, having both land in the same week feels like the right kind of pressure.

The count: Up to 22 of you on this newsletter, still 1 founding member. No movement this week, and I'd rather tell you that than pretend otherwise.

Noticed something last week. Sat in a coffee shop for twenty minutes and counted four tables, eight people, every single one with a phone or laptop up between them and whoever they were sitting across from. Not judging it. Just noticing how much of what looks like company isn't really company.

Here's the one small thing. Pick one person you've been meaning to call instead of text, and actually call them this week. Not a big gesture, just a voice instead of a notification.

Behind the scenes, this is the stretch that doesn't look like progress from outside. Emails sitting unanswered. Calls scheduled three days out. Partners who still havn't called back about getting involved. None of it is glamorous, but it's the actual work of getting to opening day.

Curious about something. If you had to guess, what's the one thing that would make you actually walk into Third Chapter on day one, not just follow along online. Hit reply and tell me, I read every one.

Thank you,
Jonathan
